Day 3: Frankfurt City Tour

Frankfurt is the home to Germanys only high-rise skyline. The highest building, Commerzbank Tower, contrasts with the citys 95 metres-high medieval landmark, the belfry of the gothic Imperial Cathedral. The German capital of finance is well known for its famous sausage, the Frankfurter, and for the traditional beverage, apple cider. In the pedestrian area of the Old Town, three of the most important historic sights lie within a 10 minutes walking distance: the medieval Town Hall Romer" on the picturesque Romerberg"-Square, the Kaiserdom (Imperial Cathedral) and Paulskirche (St. Pauls Church), the cradle of German democracy. Not far from there is the pilgrimage spot for romantic literature buffs from all over the world: the baroque Goethehaus, place of birth of Germanys national poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Through the stories of your tour guide, you can get a glimpse of Frankfurts history and its development from a medieval trade center and coronation place to an international capital of finance and business. You will meet your local guide at the Main Train Station, where you will start the guided tour exploring the city including the following sights: 1. Romerberg-Square, the former place of medieval trade fairs and coronation festivities.The City Hall. The Fountain of Justice, the picturesque half-timberedhouses and Old St. Nicholas Church from the 13th century, once part of a medieval imperial compound. 2. Get up on Eiserner Steg, the 19th-century iron footbridge over the river Main, and view the high-rise skyline and the museum embankment of Frankfurt. 3. Take a short walk to Kaiserdom (Imperial Cathedral) with its gothic tower and visit the inside of this coronation church of German kings and emperors. 4. At Paulsplatz, learn about Paulskirche (St. Pauls Church), where Germanys first national assembly convened in 1848. 5. Pass under the towering headquarters of a selection of financial global players in the banking district, such as Commerzbank Tower built by world-famous British architect Sir Norman Foster. 6. Red Light District of Frankfurt 7. Arrive at Goethehaus, birthplace of the genius of German classical literature Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and learn (outside view) about his early life and times in Frankfurt in the 18th century. 8. Go back towards Romerberg-Square and, time permitting, enjoy the possibility to taste Ebbelwei", the Frankfurt apple cider, and some Frankfurt sausages.

Day 4: Heidelberg Tour
Romantic Heidelberg Tour Duration of tour: 5 hours 30 mins
Romantic Heidelberg, regarded as one of Germanys most beautiful cities is located on the River Neckar. Explore of the world famous castle (partially in ruins) with its impressing Gothic and Renaissance buildings. We show you the large courtyard, the mighty terrace and one of the largest wine barrels in the world, the Heidelberg Tun. Take a walk in the medieval town center and marvel at the Old Bridge, Karlstor, the Church of the Holy Spirit, House of the Knights with its precious Renaissance facade and small lanes with half-timbered houses. The city hosts the oldest university of Germany.
Included: Transportation by coach, lunch box and entrance to Heidelberg Castle.

Guided tour in the castle of Heidelberg is not included but an audio guided tour is available for a fee of EUR 4.00 per person. The fee needs to be paid on the spot. If you require a hotel pick up or drop off at a hotel within the city centre you will be charged EUR 10.00 per person per way. The fee needs to be paid on the spot.
Day 5: Panorama Cruise

This cruise offers you beautiful views of Frankfurt, the city of contrasts, from the Main river and is a perfect way to get a first impression of the sights this city has to offer you.
Enjoy this 1 hour cruise in Frankfurt, the city of contrasts in the heart of Europe. On board you can enjoy the best view of Germanys most impressive skyline. You will enjoy beautiful views of the city, while a taped commentary will give you information about the attractions as you pass them by. The cruise lasts one hour and you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the citys shoreline from the river. You will then be returned to the pier where the tour ends.
